My daughter and I visited Italian Garden for the first time yesterday. We wanted pasta and they delivered! We enjoyed the bread and oils and calamari as appetizers. The calamari was cooked perfectly and the marinara was warm and delicious. For our entrees, we had the trio cannelloni and the tortellini. Both were large portions and quite delicious. It has a good ambience for having lunch or dinner and hang out with friends or family. They play Jazz music in the background and that gives an overall old school vibe while dining in at the restaurant. I ordered the Tour of Italy which comes with Chicken Parmigiana, Fettuccini Alfredo and Lasagna. The food was good and staff are also very friendly. This was the first place I went to once I got settled in, as a student at Texas State. I went with my parents and the food was so good and the service was the best. The lady that was serving us was very attentive and her trainee was also doing a great job. I will be back for more! The prices are also affordable which is nice. Food is great! We had an issue with service. We were a party of 7. First, we were seated around a corner and the host forgot to give notice to the waiter. I had to go and fetch somebody to give us service. Second, even though we were served the food we ordered in a timely fashion and the food was very good, our server kept forgetting to come by us and see if we needed anything (drinks or anything else). I ordered a drink refill and had to ask for it a second time. Overall, the place is very good. Food is well prepared and very tasty. Will certainly go back some other time. I have nothing to regret about this place. It's just special. Small and cozy place to enjoy the great ambience and spend a great time to talk to with your couple or small group of friends. The food, it's just perfect. We loved the taste of the pizza and the lasagna. The portion is good enough and get ready full your stomach. Price is fair because the place and food worth it, it's not to expensive. Plenty of parking and well located. Of course we'll be there again and enjoy a bottle of wine, we didn't know before arriving but you can bring your own bottle! That's great.
