It was my first time at a Jason's Deli! I was impressed with how fresh their salad bar was! It didn't have any meat, which would have been a nice addition, but what they did have was very good! I think it was only about$11.00 for all you can eat salad! I definitely want to go back! Oh, the restaurant was very nice and clean as well! I really like the sandwiches this place sells. They are very hardy. A half of a sandwich can fill me up. I love their strawberry short cakes...a must try! The food was good and the Sean at the register and the guy cleaning up was great! The hot roast beef was stellar. My only gripes were that we asked for ham on a kids grilled cheese and it was an upcharge of $3 and was way too much meat for a kid, I feel like. I thought we'd just get like a single slice of ham, but it was a pile lol. I appreciate the sentiment but she wouldn't eat the sandwich. Had to pull off a lot of meat. 2nd thing was one of the employees wearing a hoodie that looked like it was covered in blood stains. Pretty sure it just the art on the clothes, but not really something you want to see when you're eating lol. I’ve been craving a good hot pastrami sandwich and I happened to come across Jason’s Deli while waiting for my car windshield to be replaced. I ordered the New York Yankee (hot pastrami and corned beef with Swiss on rye) and added obligatory mustard. Both meats were dry like they had been sitting around for a while already sliced and exposed to air, the cheese was like a gelatinous puck, and both barely warmer than the room. This was, without exception, the worst pastrami or corned beef I’ve had at any deli. Perhaps they’re not known for their pastrami or corned beef, but when you call it a deli, there are some basic expectations to be held (and maybe a pickle on the side would have been nice).
