Although this store is smaller in size the way the employees make you feel is worth it. I feel right at home when I'm talking to the cashiers and all department managers. They always seem to be nice and goofy with each other. I love going to their seasonal section. My grandmother says Mr.Linden is always so helpful and sweet to her. 100/10 recommend
Idk what I have to do to get a small order of potato wedges. The lady bagging tortilla chips completely ignored me and when I got her attention she just told me to grab a number. (I got number 19 and they were serving 21) so I continue to wait for my number that’s not coming up until the next day. She doesn’t bother to even signal someone. Just continues to bag 20 bags of tortilla chips. And the lady working deli finished with her customer and didn’t even bother to look around she just went to converse with the other lady’s working deli. I don’t care about the potatoes. I just don’t know why I was treated like that during peak lunchtime hours. Now I can’t enjoy my lunch. And the place wasn’t even packed lunch had just begun. I hope other people aren’t getting treated like that. Especially at jewel. I’ll just stick with the soup and the self service.
DO NOT USE THIS BAKERY FOR ORDER AHEAD. I placed a cake order (in person) for my son’s birthday just over a week in advance. I received a call from the bakery at 7:30am the morning of the party, when I’m scheduled to pick up the cake at 9:30am, that they don’t do marble cakes in the size I ordered. This was incredibly frustrating given how far in advance I ordered and how many days they had to contact me about this. Never the less, things happen and I asked if they could do chocolate. I’m then told they do not have chocolate in stock and that vanilla was the only option. Are you kidding me?! They had over a week’s notice and they call me the morning of to tell me they don’t have what I ordered. Had I know a few days sooner I could have reached out to other jewels or bakeries. Given how much notice I gave this is absolutely unacceptable. Of course I didn’t have enough time to order elsewhere since I needed to pick up in less than 2 hours at this point, so I was forced to purchase a cake I didn’t want. I also had decorating directions that I was ensured was not a problem and ended up picking up a cake that didn’t have any of the writing on it and didn’t have the decorations requested. Absolutely ridiculous. For the cost of groceries these days, you’d think service and quality would be better. I could pick to go anywhere else. Common curtesy would be to check orders prior to a couple hours before they are being picked up. It was a pretty simple request if you ask me.
*Updated to add: I have messaged 6 times via chat as requested and keep getting “disconnected” this minute someone joins the chat. One agent offered me a $10 credit (which by the way I never received)…which is pretty much nothing these days. I also filed a complaint via email and was told “my concern will be sent to management” …clearly they don’t care about remedying this situation. Two hours of trying to contact customer service wasted.
Thank you to Chris in customer service on 12/16/23 for helping me with a more challenging return involving coupons. I appreciate his patience and wonderful attitude while helping me with something that was bc of my error. Thank you Chris!
My household spends about $1200 a month at this jewel. I fill all of our homes prescriptions here as well. My husband came home on Saturday with a very expensive incorrect item and expired gnocchi. This isn’t the first time we’ve accidentally purchased expired products here. But that’s not the point of this experience.
Tonight I attempted to return the items, arriving at the store at 7:15pm. I was told I couldn’t return it and that I should return another day because the service desk was closed. I asked for the manager on duty and they said the manager on duty doesn’t know how to do it. For no one to “know how” or “be able to after 7pm” is terrible customer service, if you’re open, you should be able to return an item. As a retail veteran, regardless of what makes closing procedure easier, you accept the return, especially almost 5 hours before you’re closing. The purpose of a return only line is to keep the flow of checkout going and not interrupt, it was quite slow in the store. I was told to return another day to try again, yes sure with all this free time I have. With multiple roles it’s difficult for me to get to the store between 8am-7pm, unfortunately. Regrettably I will need to consider taking my business elsewhere.
This grocery store nails it with top-notch products and a staff that` not only friendly but also super helpful. Quality meets convenience here, making it a go-to spot for a hassle-free shopping experience.
