They don't change their gloves , they take them off and lay them on the counter then put them back on , and the cook is opening up the refrigerator with his gloves on and take out food with the hand that has no glove on. And then I saw him take a piece of bell pepper off a sandwich with the hand that was not covered...
No food safety training at all... The food danger zone is between 40°-140° bacteria can grow and the human body temp is 96°-98°
Something to think about...
Enjoy your Italian hotdog.....
To your reply....
Wow..... I hope this is not a manager or owner who replied with a response like that.. Instead of trying to correct the problem. I know if I see this , another customers see it. too.
It's bad enough you don't wear hair nets.
I've been in the business for a while I just see things that others may not see.
Just by your response if I was to come to your store for the first time and talke to the person who commented on my post there still wouldn't be a change on how you handle food. Just by your comment (trying to bring your business down ). You worried about the business ratings instead of food safety, because unsanitary practices or a foodborne illness that a customer catches from one of the employees would shut down your business for good so you shouldn't be worried about someone trying to bring down your business ratings you doing that on your own by unsanitary conditions and food safety.
Where is the food handlers certification is should be posted on the wall. I seen a tub full of potatoes in water uncovered just standing in back kitchen. How long that been out just sitting there.
And you worried about ratings.... Run your business correct before someone call the health department.
Amazing Italian hot dogs. I used to go to the one in east hannover before they closed down. Visiting the original is a must. The way they cook them
Is unique and so is the way they serve them. Definitely filling and you’ll probably need a nap afterwards. On Tuesdays the doubles go for the price of a single.

I went to Jimmy Buff’s on a Tuesday and didn’t know about the special. The cashier realized it was my first time at the establishment. He made sure I would return and I did. I ordered the chicken sandwich with cheese. It was so big I had lunch for the next day. The food was very flavorful. I found a new spot for the Tuesdays. Check it out if you want to find out why I’ll visit on Tuesdays.

I have been hearing for a long time about this place, and finally I had a chance to make a trip here to see for myself what all the hullabaloo was about. I was very pleased with what I experienced. When you look at the menu board for the first time, you might tend to get confused; surely that be the prices. But when I saw my "single" hot dog up front and in the plate, my reaction turned into " That's not a dog, it's a three course meal". It was a good sized dog, served in a soft Italian roll, slathered with peppers, onions, and piled so high with potato rounds, it was just hard to finish. Fortunately I was able to get the rest of my order to go, thanks to the wonderful, accommodating staff, and I was on my way to my next destination, resolute that if I ever have like a half day to get back here (If you've read my profile, you'll find that I do all my travel without a car, so it takes a while for me to get around), I most definitely will be back. Jimmy Buff's has won me over.

Double Italian Hotdog
Worth the drive! The original Italian Hot Dog/Sausage sandwich is exactly as advertised. You can get a double a single or even a mix. Then they pack with onions and peppers and potatoes. It’s a great stop if in the area.
I will start by saying that in this day and age it is difficult to find places that provide excellent customer service, quality products, and great value for the money. I have watched this place on television many times and have wanted to try them out and I was finally able to do that yesterday. I have to say that this place is awesome. Not only was the food great, but the customer service was awesome. From start to finish the staff were helpful, friendly, and made everyone feel like they actually mattered. I know that there are many places to get a hot dog, but this is not just a hotdog. It is a meal consisting of delcious Italian bread, fresh cut potatoes, and of course a hot dog or sausage. I tried both and I only wish that I could visit the place more often to enjoy this delicious meal that is well worth the price and the trip. If you are looking for a great way to spend your hard earned money on a meal then I would highly recommend this place. I hope they never change their attitude or the quality and value of their food. Keep up the great work!!!

Single Italian Hot Dog Sandwich
The other day I got, Jimmy Buff’s West Orange, for lunch. I ordered their Double Combo. It comes with a Hotdog & a Sausage, topped with potatoes (home fries), onions, peppers, condiments, stuffed into a roll. I was absolutely taken aback by the sheer size of the roll. You can comfortably hold it with two hands. I am not a ketchup lover, but I have zero complaints about it being in the sandwich! This meal was absolutely phenomenal. I went there on a Tuesday and had no idea they have specials. If you go on a Tuesday, you get two for the price of one! I was expecting to pay close to $15, but to pay half of that was mind blowing. The food is excellent, and the staff was very attentive. I would absolutely recommend, Jimmy Buff’s West Orange, to anyone in the West Orange area looking for some classic, Italian style, comfort food!

Single Italian Hot Dog Sandwich
Hot dogs served in pizza bread with onions and pepper then topped with a mountain of potatoes. These “hot dogs” were the size of my partners face. Paired with some Joe’s lemonade and you’ve got the perfect combo. We made the trek from Jersey City and I have to say it was worth it!
Warning: dining in will make your clothes smell oily.
