This was our first time dining in at this establishment. The food was flavorful and quite authentic! I used to try JK back in Devon 1998 until it was closed. However, I still remembered the taste of Chili Chicken which was very delicious and one of the most popular item on the menu. Despite 1hr drive from Chicago, it was worth it after trying all unique dishes including the behari kabob, frontier rice, and freshly made chaapti (served hot and fresh). Best Chicken tikka and tandoori I have ever had. The soft paratha is very unique and good as most desi restaurant offer Nan. It's always fresh and quantity is enough for 2 light eater. It's a staple in our household from now on. The only thing I didn't like was the lamb kebab. It has too much spice which kills the flavor of the lamb itself. They need a bigger place because they are busy all the time. Chicken Tikka takes 40mins approx but well worth the wait. It's fresh even on the weekdays. Some items don't taste as good on the weekdays compared to the weekend. Great service & plenty of parking. The food here was FANTASTICALLY DELICIOUS! You MUST come try for yourself please. We had combination platter #3 with the frontier chicken and the chicken boti kabab. Plus the butter chicken of course. Both come with a generous side of basmati rice, the butter chicken came with a side of onions and limes. Both also came with the bread and we went with the Paratha which is cooked in oil. 🤩 wow to all of it. We will definitely recommend to everyone we know and will definitely be back to try more of your dishes. Thank you to the 2 gentleman at the register for their recommendations and friendly service. If you haven't been to JK Kebab then you definitely should! I tried chicken tikka with rice and beef fried rice which was amazing and the service was fast. If you are in naperville then you should give it a try for sure. The restaurant itself isn't fancy or anything, you eat your dish, wash up and be on your way. I had, Beef Seekh Kabab. Amazing plate of food, the sausage was so flavorful and loved the lime for my rice and the cilantro. To tell the truth no idea what the rice was But absolute best I ever had! Got their chicken chaple kabob, beef chaple Kabob, and chicken Tikka with paratha. Their paratha are fresh and amazingly good. Get their chicken chaple kabob over beef one. Beef one tends to be dry and not as good as chicken chapli kabob. Chicken Chapli Kabob is amazing. This is Hydrabadi owned restaurant, and some items are close to Pakistani food. Hands down would recommend chicken chaple kabob they are huge, and two people can eat it easily. Their regular white rice (which is white and yellow) is amazing. You can eat that straight up. If you haven't been to JK Kebab then you definitely should! I tried multiple dishes on different occasions but my favorite was the butter chicken with rice and paratha bread in oil. Have been going back there regularly for that dish in particular. The restaurant itself isn't fancy or anything, you eat your dish, wash up and be on your way. Glad we found this place with amazing Indian food since we are far from Devon. This is Indian style meat dishes much different from Pakistani dishes. The dishes we tried were made to perfection! The chicken tikka was fully seeped through with the marinate and super well made crisp on the outside and so tender on the inside. Mind you the tikka is super spicy so don’t try that if you can’t handle it, however it is worth every bite, it’s just right spice for tikka, imo. The Karahi chicken was superb, probably THE single best I’ve tried around Chicago! It has plenty of heat spice and flavor gravy with tomatoes and onions and super tender juicy chicken chunks or meat not only bones as most other places have, also the style as I mentioned is Indian so taste wise is much different than Pakistani Karahi. Normally Karahi is not my favorite dish but omg this Karahi was totally overwhelmingly delicious! The dal palak was the bomb! So well flavored perfect texture and dal-palak ratio provided a pallets blend between tikka and Karahi bites. The parata is perfectly made. Parata is not my bread go to, I normally prefer nan but this parata was amazing large foldable flaky non-oily crispy tender not chewy super delicious to taste! The raita was delicious and provided a chill between spice bites, it was not watery it was thick creamy and had all the ingredients and was not spicy, very tasty I ate 2 cups :). Lamb seekh kebab was dry not too spicy. It was good but it’s not my thing and not the best item here. We are far from Devon so happy we found this place, will be back to try all the other items. Wish they had biryani too! But the basmati rice was nicely done flaky and delicious. The seating is casual but neat, service was great and very fast. Highly recommend the tikka and Karahi. We visited just before the dinner rush and were seated quickly. The place filled within minutes and every seat was taken. We ordered butter chicken which was recommended by the wait staff as well as the paneer plate. The food arrived quickly and was prepared very well. The portions were ample. The roasted paneer and vegetables were charred to perfection and the basmati rice was overflowing. The butter chicken swam in a delectable curry bath that also arrived with a mountain of rice. We tried both the chapati and the paratha and both were fresh made in house and delicious. Despite the chaotic scene, food flowed smoothly through the tiny 12 table restaurant. The staff were friendly and observant. The only recommendations I could give for improvement would be to offer a better beverage list as I had no idea what they had in the little cooler, and also perhaps clean/replace the menus as mine had some strange red substance on it. Given how busy they were, they may need to think about a bigger place! Food: 5 stars Ambiance: 3.5 stars Service: 5 stars Value: 4 stars I will give it overall 5 because the food was THAT good!
