It was such a great little spot in Old Town Orcutt. We had never been before but had heard so many people rave about it. Well, it did not disappoint !! The service was excellent, and the food and mid-morning cocktails were delicious . We will definitely be going back. We go here about 2x a mo and normally I finish my plate, but today the food was horrible. First the tri-tip looked like it had been sitting and wasn't fresh at all so I asked to change it for the chicken fried steak witch when came looked like the cook literally just switched the meats and sent the plate rite back out. $70 spent on food that none of us could stomach. First time there we had a group of 10. Staff was amazing and sweet food was great. I had the tri tip nachos tri tip had liquid smoke in it. Not a favorite of mine. But all the food was great. Just moved here from out of town and a lot people told me to check this place out for breakfast/brunch. It was okay, I got the California Hash browns with a muffin. The hash browns were okay, and it was a large portion. The muffin came after I was done with the hash browns, which was odd. However the peach tea was really good! I would come back just for the tea. This visit was actually R Bar which operates in the back of Kay's. Our party was seated in an empty room which is the only negative remark.
