This place was perfect! The service is friendly and fast. The atmosphere is eclectic. There is a lot to look at - cactus garden to the art and Bogart the Grey African Parrot. We had a the breakfast sandwich and the breakfast bowl. Both were delicious. I couldn’t have asked for a better before-hike mean than black eyed peas, egg, plantains, and avocado! Perfect! Completely confused by the negative reviews of this place. We stopped in at brunch time today (a Friday) and brought our two dogs. The ambiance was immaculate. Music, food, plants, drinks, people and overall surroundings allow you to completely relax and enjoy yourself. We will definitely be back! Nice outdoor patio for sitting. There are tables for large groups, and smaller table for group of foursome or twosome. We got there around noon on a Sunday and waited about 5 minutes for our table. The menu is small and interesting. The Cucumber Cilantro Lemonade is quite refreshing! The Shrimp & Grit is a bit runny for my preference. My wife's Avocado Toast was short on the avocado! Super cute outdoor patio, but on a Sunday it took a full hour for our brunch to arrive from ordering. Half of our group really enjoyed the food (salmon toast was outstanding - real grilled salmon on avocado toast). They ran out of eggs after we ordered and didn’t mention why a dish was missing the eggs when it was served, but were kind enough to comp the dish. Maybe we’d try again on a weekday or less busy time to see if the service improves… Price per person $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5

This place was recommended multiple times to us and it was honestly a terrible experience. I’m not sure why so many of the reviews say it’s really good. The vibe of the place was great but the food was terrible. We ordered two breakfast bowls, which comes with a sunny side up egg - one was supposed to be over easy egg and one was as is. We also ordered the mushroom hash with over medium egg. And we ordered a smoked salmon toast. The eggs for all three dishes were over cooked to the point where there was cooked yolk, and the salmon was also cooked instead of smoked. We pointed this out to our server and she said the kitchen is used to making it a certain way, even though the as is egg was also incorrect. It took forever for our food to arrive. They also ran out of eggs and coffee by 11:30 AM even though it wasn’t very busy. The server was nice as she discounted our meals but it’s still not a place I’d recommend or go back to.
