My daughter and I visited this restaurant in Porto Novi, Montenegro, for a coffee, and she wanted a smoothie or milkshake. Initially, we decided to wash our hands in the restroom after visiting a playground. However, we were not allowed in until we placed an order, being told the restroom is for customers only. The barista seemed annoyed when we explained our intention to order drinks. This rude treatment spoiled our mood. We waited 20 minutes for the coffee and milkshake. The coffee was too watery, I rate it 3 out of 5, and the milkshake, which had too much milk and not enough berries, gets a 4 out of 5. I appreciated the minimal sugar in the milkshake. But after such a reception, I’m unlikely to return. There are friendlier cafes nearby, and, judging by other reviews, rudeness here is not uncommon

Small, pretty cafe by the sea. We took only cappuccino and croissant. The coffee was very good, and the croissant was warm and crusty. The waiteress was very nice, chairs are comfy and the view is perfect.

I will probably recommend this place only to those people who have nerves of steel and who are not embarrassed or stressed when they are openly treated rudely and disrespectful. I was already in this place, more than once a few years ago, and I must say I liked it: the morning’s coffee and the night’s cocktail were really good. But the last time I went to this place crossed out all the pleasant impressions of past years which I had.

I don't understand how you can be so customer insensitive and rude. Starting with the waiter rudely telling us without looking in the eyes that we couldn't sit where we were, continuing with waiting time >half an hour for the waiter to finally order (when tables occupied later were already served long ago), ignoring, and ending with rudeness by the time of paying as a reaction when we did not want to leave a tip. I always leave it with pleasure when I am satisfied with the service. But not at this time. And the waiter's bickering with phrases like "oh, I knew that you are from *name of the country* as the people from your country are stingy" and "why do you then eat our food and drink our drinks in our country if you don't leave a tip?" in addition to everything, I think are extremely inappropriate.

Good coffee, nice location and friendly stuff.
We’ve tried a couple of different drinks here, all of them had a solid taste and have been nicely prepared.
Only disadvantage is the pricing - for the amount of cold brew received, it was definitely too less.
Taste wise, everything was great.
Koffein is a welcome addition to Portonovi and even Boka Bay Area. It is very hard to find specialty, third wave coffee around this area. I was a bit disappointed to see the plastic containers where they put freshly roasted coffee. The manager, I believe, took us upstairs and gave us a quick look at the roasting process. It is obviously extremely hot. I appreciate the fact that hulled and graded green coffee beans arrive in special coffee bags, but why putting in plastic afterwards? Koffein needs to work towards sustainability more. The single use plastic straws and coffee cups are not sustainable. The world is adopting a plastic free lifestyle and Koffein should lead by example. I will give Koffein another chance.
