We drove from Marshalltown, Iowa to experience some good food. The food and the server were great! We loved the smoked Swedish meatballs! It was a great first experience for the both of us! We're definitely going back to eat sometime on the first Saturday of the month, as they have their bbq meats to try! Thank you to the owner for stopping at our table to see how the food was! Ive been missing out! I wish I had known there was such an AWESOME restaurant only 30 min from home! Well, now I do and I will be back often. This place is doing it ALL right! Our server, I believe her name was Stacey, was awesome! Super friendly, funny, attentive, and really welcomed us first timers and explained the menu to us in a way that made us feel right at home. You can tell shes not just great at her job but also a great person. We got some of those FABULOUS eggrolls by The Egg Roll Lady CR and they were beyond delicious. Also, the carolina fries were great, that pulled pork on those is somethin special! I ordered the tenderloin, the MONSTER tenderloin it should be called. That thing was THIIIIICK and absolutely perfect. Best tenderloin Ive probably ever had. Tender, crispy, perfectly seasoned...and enough that ill get a couple sandwiches out of it. Cannot wait to come back and try the smoked prime rib and that pizza looked killer good. I own a catering business and cook for a living so finding an AMAZING restaurant where I can go enjoy someone cooking for ME is awesome, you have a new fan!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Kula's by far is the best smoked prime rib around. Tender juicy and perfect flavor. We also had pizza, broasted chicken and a good ole cheese burger with our group. I've found another Diamond in the rough! Kula's is a BBQ joint with some hidden treasure your tastebuds would love! On my first visit i had a great experience of meeting the staff and the proprietor of this establishment. All I'm gonna say is... Get out there and try em!! You will not regret it! Friday night my son and myself went for smoked wings. The wings had so much meat and the skin was so crispy. I had them in the Wing Zing sauce my son had original bbq sauce. We each had a side. Absolutely great service. The owner even brought out some smoked bratwurst he had just pulled off. Definitely going back for Prime Rib and scotch eggs another time.
