La Fuente is the only Mexican restaurant we eat at in Kirksville, we love them! The food, service, portions, and prices are great. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a single messed up order from them, ever. They are my go to carry-out restaurant because their hostesses always put care into packing your order and making sure you have everything you could possibly need. Worst Mexican food I've ever had. Server was rude, the greater didn't even acknowledge I walked in the door. I stood there for 5 minutes and as I began to walk out they finally said something. I had the street tacos with beef. The beef was old and mainly grit. The menu looked like it hadn't been cleaned since they opened. Overall I should have got up and walked out. This is the only Mexican Restaurant I will eat at in town. They are kind, treat customers like family, have amazing food and service! This is my go to spot! Also if you want to try something new and more authentic Tacos de birria is my favorite Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ordered the fajitas. Food was really good but not spicy enough. Ordered extra tortillas and extra sour cream and hot sauce. I can understand paying extra for sour cream. Extra for tortillas is a stretch. But I was also charged for hot sauce. I can’t believe you have to pay for hot sauce in a Mexican restaurant.
