Lewis Arms Hotel Restaurant,Bar in Cardiff

The Lewis Arms in Tongwynlais is a great spot for a meal or a drink. It's conveniently located near Castle Coch and is a great stop off for cyclists on the Taff Trail. The website looks good and there's no need for reservations when you call ahead of time. The food is fine, with lots of good choices for adults and children alike. The vegetarian burger was especially tasty. Unfortunately, the food can take a while to prepare, but it's worth the wait. There is an outdoor deck with picnic tables and umbrellas, but unfortunately there are no views. You have to pay for parking in their lot on site. The staff are friendly and welcoming, especially Koebe and Oliver behind the bar. The disabled/baby changing/family toilet can be tricky to get out of once you're locked in, but staff are always willing to help. The Brains beers are excellent and they have a great selection of beers, wines and spirits. The food menu is varied and offers great value. They also have offers throughout the week which make it hard to resist. Covid precautions are in place and the Brains app makes it easy to order. All in all, the Lewis Arms is a great pub with something for everyone and is definitely worth a visit.
