Little Italy is an Italian style restaurant featuring lots of great Italian food and great beer specials in Auburn, AL. They strive to bring you delicious and authentic New York style pizza which you can buy by the slice or whole pie all day long. They make really good homemade style pizzas. I was eating chain restaurant pizzas before I came to Auburn. Here in Auburn, I couldn’t find a good chain pizza. So I tried this restaurant and I liked their pizza. They had small sized, two medium sized, and one large sized pizza. Usually one medium sized pizza with a few toppings is more than enough for two adults or 1 adult and 2 kids and price is in the range of other restaurants in Auburn. I was traveling through and ordered a sausage, pepper, and onion pizza. I got a pizza with light pepper and told that onions and sausage were on it. I’m from NYC and I already knew that I had to lower my expectations but this was beyond belief. There were light cubes of pepper without sausage or onions and I was told it’s the same sausage, pepper, and onion I ordered. The dough was well made and that gives me hope for if I try to give them another chance in the future.

There’s something about the place that brings you back. Whether it’s during the day and you’re hungry for a slice, or late at night on the weekend after an Auburn football game, the food and beer always hit right. It’s not fancy, but that’s what I like about it. It’s a staple of downtown Auburn in my opinion. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

Quintessential pizza that always delivers. Is it the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life? No, but I have to drive an hour and a half one way to get what I consider to truly be the best. In Auburn? This is it. There’s nothing better. I love little Italy and will probably always eat here.
