I have to leave an honest review. . . The food is what it comes down to. . . And it's always either RUINED or SUBPAR, in our opinion! Here's a general list of food that was ruined, tasteless, or mediocre at best: Lemon Lamb - ALL LEMON (appeared most or all was sent back), pasta to me, was bland (wife does love the meat sauce pasta - al rag'u), but I think that's horrible too, the salad had a recluse in it, (We were told it was because, "It's fresh, so sometimes it doesn't get cleaned as well, hence the spider"), the Filet - or shall I say, "Filetto", was like chewing on a tire, etc. In my personal opinion, I could cook a meal that would be more enjoyed, dare I say LOVED, any day! With a 3rd of our experiences (roughly a handful of times), being negative - we're prepared to say this "Chef" needs to go back to school before serving us again (Just our opinion). Look up authentic caprese. . . just saying. Ultimately, we're appreciative that the disapproved food was always comp'd, but at what point does this "Professionally trained chef" come out & explain why everything is always ruined (in our opinion & others) , rather then leaving the exceptional wait staff to take the flak? If you are in the mood for a good steam and pasta, please move along. Medium=Shoe leather and less than 1/2" thick (which explains why it was hard to cook). Pasta dry and either uncooked or overcooked, very hard to tell. Sells ambiance, good thing they delivered that at least. Drinks came mid way thru the main course with an empty house. The chef's menu is such a treat. And they've been innovative with sound dampening drapes between the tables to make each area feel intimate even when the restaurant is busy. We had 15 people go to Lucianos for a Christmas get together. Very disappointing! None of the meals came with a salad. We had no idea that they would have to be ordered separately, with an additional charge. The $26 steaks were flattened beef, no more than 3/8 of a inch thick.
