Excellent flavorful food, General Gaus is fantastic. The staff here especially the younger girl that checks people out is extremely friendly and accommodating and always has a warm smile on. The atmosphere is complementary as well. Overall a wonderful gem in Maynard worth stopping in or getting takeout from. Had been a customer of The Ruby for over 20 years and was very sad to see it sold. Since Magnolias opened, my family had visited a few times and had not been disappointed by the food, but the Mai Tais just were not the same. Last night when I went in to visit with a friend, I was so surprised to see Kevin behind the bar! He has been working Monday nights. What a pleasant surprise. Great Mai Tai last night! Best Chinese around us! I wish I could give 10 stars! We got Udon noodles with veggies, crispy sesame chicken, chicken teriyaki, crab rangoon and LoMein! Everything was delish!!! Very aromatic and balanced to match our tastes! They deliver in Maynard but we live on the border in Acton. They said they could deliver. Very friendly staff and good prices! It was our second time at Magnolia and just as good as the first. This time we got lunch specials; sesame chicken with crab rangoon, vegetable lo mein and wonton soup to go. My spouse got shrimp and vegetables with the same sides. We also got an order of Peking ravioli. We highly recommend this place! For americanized chinese food, it was better than I expected and I'll probably come back again. I had the beef with broccoli which I enjoyed. It would have been a bit better if they brought the food out quicker because it was not very hot by the time it made it to my table. Came here with a few friends. The portions are massive and the food overall was great! We got Mai Tais and sweet and sour chicken, house fried rice and pupu platter. Service was quick and friendly. Food was solid, although the kids and I had fairly basic dishes. Will be back to try something hopefully a bit more adventurous.

They are new and the young servers could use a touch more finesse, it I'm sure that will come with time. The food was great and they were very accommodating and responsible with my shellfish allergy. So happy this restaurant got new owners and an upgrade. Hoping for many happy years in business in Maynard! We went on the opening day and are so happy to report that it was not a disappointing experience. The lunch specials are priced to be affordable and the portions are still generous - these specials are weekdays & Saturdays from 11a - 3p. Service was pretty fast and the food came out hot. There was no sushi unlike their sister restaurant in Sudbury but we’re hoping that changes as they get settled. Overall, we were happy with everything and are excited to come back.
