Had wings and beef nachos, fried cheesecake Superbowl evening, breakfast today was two egg omelet with cheese, peppers & onion. Delicious coffee. Chef and staff were great. Love this laid back little beach restaurant. Shout out to Rebecca, Manuel and Alex….they are absolutely accommodating, very courteous and friendly. Food is typical and great tasting. As this is the only convenient dining option we had to dine here most of our trip. There are a couple of great servers and the lady that apparently owns the place is great. Other than that - we got treated horribly - basically ignored the entire time even with substantial tips. Best food was the fried chicken strips. Very overpriced unfortunately. Easily $100 per meal with two drinks. Sad because the resort and staff are great. But several times we ended our fun day short because the staff was so rude. Drinks are very expensive and weak (just get canned beer). Was made to feel like a nuisance to the staff. And witnessed this with multiple other guests. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

Loved the Mahi Mahi experience at Hacienda Del Mar! Delicious meals and cocktails each time we visited. Service was prompt and so friendly. Disappointed only in the lack of hand sanitizer in the dispenser at the restaurant, but the dispensers are hanging everywhere you look elsewhere on the property. The atmosphere was super relaxed, on the beach, of course, and music playing was just right (and not too loud). Thank you! This restaurant has such potential with its location and set up but the food quality and timeliness of service are some of the worst I have ever experienced. We planned to spend this trip to Puerto Rico mostly on property but because this is the only restaurant we are now considering leaving to stay at another hotel or changing our plans to go offsite. for the remainder of the trip because our experience has been so awful. We waited over an hour and a half for food and finally asked for the items to go because we could not wait any longer and we were met with horrible attitudes. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Right next to the beach and pool. The local wildlife is extremely entertaining to include the native Satos dogs. One needs to remember you are dining outdoors, at a resort, and on island time though. With that you get to sit back, talk to friends and family while enjoying the wonderful weather and scenery you can only find in Puerto Rico.
