Sometimes they sell you stuff that is not fresh. Been coming here few years on and off and it always upsets me when I bring the stuff home and realize that it is stale/dry - not freshly baked. Also, I could swear the baguettes grew smaller than what they used to be… sad to see that.. otherwise they bakery is good quality when it is fresh

As you enter the bakery you can feel heavenly smell of freshly baked bread and pastries! The service is kind and friendly. All bakery products baked without preservatives and softening ingredients.

Mamadou's bakery is the best I've been to, hands down. As soon as you walk in, you're hit with the aroma of freshly baked bread. It's so delicious that you'll quickly forget that over half of the bread is already sold out.
When the fresh bread comes out of the oven, it smells and tastes heavenly. Mamadou is an outstanding baker and a humble man. He's always happy to chat with his customers and share his passion for baking.

Mamadou’s is the crown jewel of Boston bakeries in my opinion and experience. Their specialties of croissants, baguette, and French and Italian bread are among the best I’ve had anywhere and I make long trips on Saturdays to bring some home for special occasions. I freeze mine and reheat in a 200 F oven and serve them in bed.

This place may not look like much from the outside but the smells coming out of this place are out of this world! Been back twice for the semolina italian loaf, also tried brioche. They did not disappoint. Will be back to sample some of the other scrumptious looking varieties.
