Wow! My lovely wife Nina and I had an awesome dining experience here with Jenna our server providing great attentive service. We started off with the Tavern Chips (Delicious) and then Nina ordered the Tavern Salad and I ordered the Roasted Salmon Dinner with mashed potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli and a dark green marinated gourmet carrot. Sheer delicious perfection. Jenna was very personable and brought everything promptly. We will be back. Thank you Jenna and Chris for making our visit a memorable experience. Brought the family to McCray’s on the Square tonight. Meals were all excellent. Started with the Tavern Gorgonzola Potato Chips app which was amazing. Main courses were 50% off wings which were huge and very tasty. Also got the Salmon Salad and the Matador burger which were amazing. Jenna was our waitress and she did an awesome job explaining everything and making sure we were taken care of. Very attentive and super friendly. Ask for her if you go! Overall it was a great atmosphere and perfect location for a family dinner. Randomly picked this place and we are so pleased with the service and thefood was amazing. We had no idea that it was Jenna first day! She did amazing so whoever trained her! She got it! I also had the pleasure of meeting the manager who came by and checked on our family. What a pleasant place and great environment. 10’s all across the board!!!! I will definitely be back. Definitely a vibe! Thr atmosphere is great, open spacious and come drink and be merry vibes, tvs with the game on ( Even tho I'm here for the Peach Bowl and we won! HOTTY TODDY!) but I didn't like the fact that all tvs played the same game bc honestly the Georgia and Florida state game was pure trash. The spinach dip was tasty but had tooooooo many artichokes in it and minimal spinach but when I cheesy it was cheeseyyyyyyyy! This establishment was selected by my neice for her college graduation brunch. Our waitress was great, she helped me with selecting a dish. The Crab cakes were very tender, the dipping sauce was tasty. I wanted a stiff drink but I had to drive back home ( I75 South) out of Atlanta. The food was ok. The service was ok. The atmosphere was ok. I felt so bad for the woman being seated behind us. The tables were so scrunched together she could not comfortably fit--and none of us was a big person. Luckily, we were leaving anyway. We had the same difficulty exiting through the front room for a similar reason (large parties of people seated at both tables in the center of the room/ tables positioned perpendicular to door entry access). It wasn't a bad experience, but for eating out, I want to have something I particularly enjoy (food/ service or atmosphere), and unfortunately nothing here made me feel like I'd need to return. Came here to have brunch rooftop!! We were seated right away and the food was delicious! Justin was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the weather and people watching. Highly recommend McCrays. First time for me and I will be back. Service was friendly, wish I could remember my servers name, but his british accent will tell you who he is. I had the fried grouper sandwich with added fried Jelepenio. My partner had grouper tacos. No complaints. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Next time I will add drinks. My friends and l went to McCray's in Lawrenceville for first time today! We had lunch to celebrate my birthday! The food was awesome!!! Our waitress, Heather was spectacular! This would be one of my favorite places to hang out if the service was better. The roof makes this place popular during the summer. It is a nice, relaxing environment and gives great views of downtown Lawrenceville. The food has always been amazing. The Buffalo chicken egg rolls are delicious. The Cajun pasta has the perfect amount of spice. Honestly, the food is why I keep coming back. The service, however, is usually pretty bad. I'm always having to wave down my server for assistance. They don't really check on you like most places would.
