Mazatlan McMinnville is my favorite restaurant in the Mazatlan brand of Mexican restaurants. The interior decor is elaborate and vibrant. For ambiance, traditional mariachi music is played. The staff are consumate hosts and willing to accomate just about any request from the menus. They are very good with allergies and are knowledgeable about the ingredients used in the food served. They serve a variety of Tex-Mex, traditional and specialty dishes. The food is always served hot and delicious. The fajitas are always sizzling when they arrive. The Pariadilla is served on a grilling plate and is fun to share with one or two people. A visit is worth every penny! We sat for close to 30 minutes after ordering, before food arrived. Others that came in after us were being served before us. I even got up to check other tables, that all came in after we did. Food finally arrived, was not bad. Plate was warm, not super hot. Other Mexican restaurants we visit, bring the steaming hot food on a hot plate, and make sure to warn customers. No problem here. As always, the service was excellent, and the food delicious. The only thing I would have changed was the temperature inside the restaurant. It was 73 and humid outside, and any hopes of finding relief during dinner were quickly dashed. It was 76° with no airflow, which made eating spicy food uncomfortable. This place was awful. Being unable to find decent Mexican food anywhere in the PNW, our craving for Mexican food drew us to attempt another restaurant. We ordered fajitas via door dash figuring no one could possible mess that up. I was wrong. What I received was more like pepper steak than fajitas. Small bites of meat with peppers and onions, mushrooms and a few other unidentified veggies laying in a pool of some type of tomato sauce. The chips were delicious, however the salsa had the consistency of V8 juice. I give up on getting quality Mexican food in this area. Here’s a photo of the leftovers.
