Probably the best grocery store in Southfield. The only major issue is the lack of stock and some of the employees have the attitude as though someone forced them to work there. Management is very friendly and the store is extremely clean.

This store is a mess. The employees are either really nice or extremely rude and arguing with each other. The deli ladies are rude and never seem to be able to do anything. You can't get anything until after noon, what kinda schedule is that? When I get out of church and I go to get a rotisserie chicken at 11am I shouldn't have to wait another 45 mins for chicken when the timer says only has 10 mins left. I wish people would actually do their jobs and not be rude. Management you need to do better and hold get people that actually wanna work and aren't rude. Wish I had another meijer to go to without driving out of my way.

The team members are excellent! They are hard working, efficient, and courteous!!! I wish I could name them all but this review would be too long!! A few are : Thank you Robin, Cheryl, Ms Kim, Johnie, Jackson, Bryce, Joseph, Allen and so very, very many more. Thank you to Marcus also, who started this !!! Thank you for your vegan options too!!

Dirty coolers. A big turn off.. this needs to be cleaned immediately. This makes me not want to shop i here. These are near the self check out. Cleaning doesn’t cost anything. Customers don’t want to get drinks out of a dirty cooler. It makes me wonder about other areas of cleanliness. I won’t be shopping here anymore at this location

Customer service is horrible at 12 mile and telegraph (2nd nasty front staff experience in less than a month). In my most recent experience, I decided to use their fast self check out. Had 2 items, walked to register and noticed I had to weigh my grapes on a scale that was a few feet away. I was thinking of scanning the 1 item then quickly weighing the grapes and getting back to register. I put my perks in, and before I could start scanning, a lady came out of nowhere and says I have to weigh my grapes. I tell her that I just realized this. A man gets in line and she tells me I have to let him go in front of me, I asked "does it take that long to weigh grapes?" and tell her I've already put my perks in the register. She just goes to take my number out and never replies to my question. I tell her never mind and she has the nerve to say "he only has 2 items". I went to 6 mile and Grand River where the fruit and vegetables are a better selection and the customer service has always been excellent. Hadn't been to 12 mile Meijer in years and won't be back anytime soon even though it's a mile from my office. They need better people skills.

After shopping and then leaving her phone in a shopping cart (in the parking lot) we returned to Meijer hoping to retrieve it. As it turned out, the employee who collects the carts had found her phone and gave it to the lost & found. My wife has her phone & we rewarded the young man's honesty and integrity with a few $$. Honest employees with integrity and good moral values are just another reason to shop here. November 2023 update: Quality of fresh produce has definitely gone up since the original review.

I’m scared to tell you all why I love this location so much because then you’ll come and take all the awesome buys I wait for. You should be so happy that I’m even telling you this spot is a treasure hole in the wall. The only thing I hated about not living in Michigan was the fact that we didn’t have a meijer, let alone this specific one. Once there was a frog in the closed container of leafy greens. It was still alive and jumping around inside the bag but at least you know their stuff is really organic. If anything, knowing that increased my rating I love meijers.

My second time visiting this meijer location I found everything I needed but when it came to cleanliness definitely just 1 star Why is the ice cream all they way in the back frozen and old makes me not want to pick from the freezer after I seen this I had to go
