If you happen to be around The Sherman Museum, visit this restaurant. Among other Mexican cuisune places to visit, La Ranchera can be one of the best. It's time to try nicely cooked tacos, chicken and menudo. The atmosphere of hospitality of this place highly depends on the staff, that is cool here. If you want to enjoy enjoyable service, you should go to this spot. From the guests' viewpoint, prices are reasonable. Most of the time, the comfortable atmosphere is to be found here. Small but very authentic little tex-mex restaurant. Amazingly, their food has never made me sick despite me having multiple digestive issues/restrictions, which makes them a winner in my book. Food is VERY good, but only some of it is mind-blowing. Very big portions, so expect leftovers. Service is prompt and able to handle complex orders in English. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

First time here, would definitely come again. My husband got the Carne asada meal. Absolutely wonderful, I had a chicken tostada and a steak taco. Everything was amazing. Service was absolutely wonderful. Our waitress was kind and professional. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I have driven by this place so many times over the years. Finally tried it. Shame on me. I have been missing out. This food, tacos, are really good. I will for sure be back. You have to give it a chance. Remember the purple building. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is an amazing authentic Mexican restaurant that serves delicious hot food fast! I would come back here in a heartbeat if I lived closer. The food is inexpensive but tastes like a million bucks. Their sauces are top notch and I can tell the quality of the ingredients and the experience of the cook are top tier. This place has really good food. I definitely will be going back and eating here again. If you haven't eaten here before I highly recommend trying this place. And the menu's are in Spanish and English Incase you don't know Spanish. Waitress was nice. Excellent service and restaurant was wonderfully decorated for upcoming Halloween with full of passion and zeal. Didn't find much on the menu for vegetarian options. They were able to prepare vegetarian items for us. Everything is prepared fresh from order and white it took a bit of time to get them, they are all worth the wait in taste. 😋🤤😋🤤😋🤤 Liked the place for simplicity, down to earth, home cooked style of food. This is the real deal! Take a trip into the heart of Mexico without having to go any further than Sherman! Food and service is as friendly and authentic as you can find north of El Paso!

The food was incredible considering how far away we are from the mexican border! The prices were cheap and the amount of food was great. The chille rellano was the size of the entire plate and if you like spicy shrimp the "El burrito" is a must! We will be back.
