Beautiful restaurant in Kongsberg. My friend invited me to go there, we had starters, a main course each and dessert and I can say without a doubt that it was the best food I have had in a looong time. The service was also really friendly, overall 11/10, thank you so much!

Very nice ambiance, good service and excellent food!
It's a relatively new restaurant right next to the train station, two 'walls' are full height glass windows with beautiful views.
The food is a good mix of Indian and local flavor, a little heavy on the spice. Beware if you don't like spicy food, and ask for it to be made milder.
I went with colleagues and had a wonderful time.

Awesome food with beautiful presentation. The spice levels were so well balanced and the ingredients were so organic that my 8 months old daughter was also liking it. In total I really loved the time in the perfect ambiance with nice food. Totally recommended

Smokey Butter Chicken
A bit disappointing. The service was well intended, but lacking. Food was OK (I’m being generous)
Drinks were slow, the table wasn’t cleared of unused glasses, and being so small, made it necessary for us to clear it ourselves to fit our food. We also eventually cleared the table of the two candle holders with candles that were never lit.
Water orders had to be repeated, beer orders as well.
Food arrived at different times even though the whole table ordered only main dishes. The cutlery is hopelessly impractical, someone clearly chose style of function, as each piece unscrews itself as you eat. The food was decent, but for the whopping price of NOK 385,- a main dish at an Indian (fusion) place should be stunning.
The butter chicken was OK, and the filet of beef was not bad (but too salty, which paired fine with the bland and cold sauce it was served with).
The “GOAT” was also just OK and served in a very impractical bowl.
The server asked us, when we had received our last dish “was this the whole order?” Which I feel was pretty telling, as they kept asking other tables the same question. They were not on top of things, don’t know how to run a restaurant, got overwhelmed and had to rely on the customers to tell them.
For NOK 2157,- for three people, even in Norway you expect a decent meal with professional service, NILA Indian Rendezvous provides neither.
A tip: washroom upstairs had no running water in the sink, and even though you lock the door, it isn’t actually locked…
If you find yourself in Kongsberg, I’m honestly not sure what your alternatives are, but if you’re in Oslo, practically ANYWHERE in Grønland will give you a better meal at a fraction of the price.
There’s a difference between being on MasterChef and running an actual restaurant it seems…
I should review this place twice to give appropriate 10 stars:) to say simply and shortly: AWESOME. All people are so kind, helpful and friendly, the atmosphere is amazing and the food.... it is quite expensive, but believe me, worth every single penny, and much more. For sure one of the best places I've been.
