Osteria Santa Maria is a hidden gem in the city of Abbiategrasso. The restaurant recently changed owners and has been recently renovated, offering a pleasant atmosphere to dine in. Upon entering, guests are greeted with warm hospitality from the staff. The menu offers a great selection of dishes, ranging from classic Italian cuisine to creative dishes. Highlights include the Baccala Mantecato with red pepper sauce, Riso Al Salto with fruit and bacon, pork belly served with onion and caramel, Tagliata beef, and Santa Maria cake. The wine list is divided into two parts, one featuring locally sourced wines and the other with wines from the rest of Italy. The prices are very reasonable and offer excellent value for money. The only downside is the lack of air conditioning, but the owners have been granted permission to install it soon. Overall, Osteria Santa Maria is a great restaurant that offers delicious cuisine, warm hospitality, and excellent value for money. Highly recommended!
