We ordered a ciabatta garlic bread / different than what you see in recent reviews (a pull apart bread) - they have changed the menu 8 days ago. 2 pastas - shrimp linguini and pork pappardelle - they were creamy and heavy. I think the week before they had clams and beef. Blackberry sorbet was mid, chocolate hazelnut gelato tasted like childhood. Personally I preferred another menu rotation or style of Italian, but A1 service and ambiance on a busy Valentines Day. Amazing place for date night! The ambience is great, the food was unique and delicious, and the service was impeccable. I would highly recommend the pork belly dish. It was flavourful, savoury, melt in your mouth - delicious! On the menu it’s listed as: ‘Primrose Farms pork belly, hokkaido scallops, green apple puree’. So so so good! Came here for my son's birthday and to finally use our gift card that we were holding onto for over a year. The restaurant is at Fraser and Kingsway. Parking is challenging. The restaurant is bright, open and lively! Decor is modern, staff is very friendly and food is delicious. We left happy and full. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing place to have a birthday dinner for my friend. Even with a 9:15pm reso, we had to wait when we got to the restaurant because it was THAT packed. But the atmosphere is amazing and the service exceptional and super friendly - top notch. We got the Alla Famiglia $85 per person for four people. This was SO much food and variety, very much worth the price. With 4 people, seems like we got to try double the variety of dishes as 2 people would. All the dishes were amazing, with layers of flavour. The carne crudo, squash arancini and tortellini were my favourites, but the kale salad and beet salad were amazing as well. 3/4 of us did not like the linguini very much. By the time our steak and chicken arrived, we were already stuffed. The dessert was also amazing! Dinner came out to $130 pp after tax and tip. We had a bottle of wine to share. We left the restaurant after 3 hours and were one of the last tables there. All in all, I’d been here years prior and remembered having a good experience and I enjoyed myself even more the second time around. Savio Volpe was an incredible experience. My partner and I went for our anniversary as it was highly recommended, and it indeed lived up to the hype. We got the 5 course tasting menu all chosen by the chef based on our dietary restrictions and preferences. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of food that we received and could not complain about that, if you do choose this option, come hungry because it was a lot of food. Our server was very kind and always checked in with us and the servers presenting the dishes were all knowledgeable and descriptive of each dish. The atmosphere was well set, we do wish the tables weren’t so close together, we definitely heard too much of our neighbouring tables conversations but nonetheless the restaurant as a whole was wonderful.
