No one told me that 할머니 (grandma) was back there! Y’all in Longview got blessed with a legit Korean restaurant. This reminds me of Song’s kitchen ins Elizabethtown, Kentucky. No one would have expected it but were pleasantly surprised Abuela is back there making it happen! I ordered the Bulgogi and the Gimbap (to go). The beef was perfect. Well marinated and a great portion to share (for two). The banchan (side dishes) were on point and I even got some Ssam (lettuce) and Ssam Jang (the traditionally accompanying soybean paste for the lettuce wrap). Needless to say, this is my go to spot in Longview. Disclaimer: Service isn’t the best, but most mom and pop Asian Shops are like that but service is above average (weighted score). Authentic Korean restaurant with a nice couple serving. The sweet lady already knows our order by heart and accommodates well despite the language barrier. I have friends who live out of town and claim they have some of the best dishes and can't wait to return! My siblings and I visit several times a month!
