Good variety of sweet and savoury pancakes which are large as a big as a large plate, thicker than crepes maybe 4 times and probably half as thick as fluffy, buttermilk pancakes. Cosy, rustic, traditional interior with friendly service. Loved the cheese and ham. Smoked salmon, veal ragout and pulled chicken were good. Fruit with icecream was yum. Had tuna salad sandwich and tried a BBQ pulled chicken sandwich with coleslaw, both were fantastic. Can be a bit pricey but the food quality and quantity is there to meet it unlike some other places. Would recommend. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Really good atmosphere but nothing outstanding on the pancake. Mine was burned a bit and surprisingly they gave me 2 small Nutella packs which in today’s world is a big waste in my opinion. Great ambience and neighboring forest views all through the drive and whole dining. Quaint and nice town / village overall. Food was just great - we got one sandwich with bacon / ham (it was OK), two sweet and one savory pannenkoeken. The savory one was pulled chicken and it was outstanding. Nice spot to get a good bite on a weekend.

Who would've thought that in this charming village surrounded by forests, you'd find one of the best, if not the best, pancake house in the Netherlands? Having cycled here from Utrecht, I arrived hungry and ready for a hearty meal. Dutch pancakes are larger than their French and American counterparts and they can be a meal in itself. I had the Pannenkoek De Vuursche Boer (named after the restaurant) which was generously topped with lots of tuna and vegetables. Amazing pancakes, very wide selection of pancakes, sandwiches and drinks. The place looks great and cozy, plenty of outdoor & indoor seating and opened their doors 62 years ago. 1959! The staff is friendly and skilled. They speak English and have a English menu. They take credit card, cash and debit cards. The area around the restaurant is very nice to explore by foot, bike, car and has plenty of free parking. Wheelchair accessible, maybe inside is slightly difficult.
