Great food and awesome staff members! We had the crispy alligator, roasted oysters (we wanted regular oysters on the half shell which weren't available at the moment but we're glad we tried the roasted ones because they were so good!), the gumbo and house salad combo, and the fried shrimp po boy. Everything was delicious! Our server, Marcus, was super nice and attentive as well. This is my first time to Pappadeaux. I sat at the bar and it was promptly greeted by a nice gentleman. He was quick to get me a drink and give me some suggestions on the food. I ordered the seafood pasta which sounded delicious. When it came i did not realize the sauce was a little more buttery or watery then creamy. The shrimp were overcooked, the octopus were rubbery although I've never had octopus so maybe that's the way it's supposed to be and the crab was good. I'm not a fan of sending food back when I don't like it so I went ahead and finished my meal and my cocktail. It was disappointing that the meal itself was $38. If the dish was made properly, then I'm definitely not a fan of the food. The service was top notch and the atmosphere sure is a lot of fun, but for the price, I will likely not come back to this restaurant chain. You can’t go wrong with Pappadeaux, and this location in particular is always stellar! I order the Atlantic Salmon Alexander every time & it never disappoints! I switched out the dirty rice for the new carrot side- absolutely delicious!
