Came here for dinner both nights that I stayed in Balestrand. There was not much open in early October but this place was delicious. Service was friendly but a little slow which was understandable as it seems to be just the two ladies running it. No problem though, as this is the kind of place to take your time and relax in. I sat at the little table by the window and enjoyed my food. I tried the salmon and the Ukrainian dumplings, as well as the apple pie and the cheesecake. Everything was fantastic. Great food and great service, the place is small but very cosy. The Ukraine dishes are great. The grilled chicken fillet is juicy and tasty, The carbonara is great, and the cesar salad as well. The deserts are amazing, especially the Ukrainian cheese cake. Overall, we had a great time, and we recommend eating here a full meal. The food here is outstanding. I had the Chicken Tetrazzini and it was perfect. Service is great and the owners came from Ukraine. If you are in Balestand do yourself a favor and eat at this quaint restaurant on the fjord.
