We went for our granddaughters birthday. My son reserved a room which was great but it was so bland. There were 4 tables and 16 chairs and nothing else. The place was packed, which I expected for a Saturday buffet. The food was good, nothing spectacular. They offer a variety of pizza and fried chicken with sides. The staff were busy trying to keep up but they were just too busy. The arcade area was bright and loud but the games averaged $5 each which is too costly in my opinion. Normally I really enjoy Pizza Ranch. This particular occasion, it was after 630 PM on a Sunday. There was plenty of food on the buffet line which was good. However, I think there might have been an equal amount of food on the floor under all of the tables. It was very unappetizing. My experiance with the Dubuque,Iowa pizza Ranch was I arrived around 2pm and The food wasn't fresh but sitting around.It was not clean enviroment.The floors where greasy and slippery.The cook came out and he used his shirt to wipe off his sweat from his forehead..It made us a party of 4 sick and we did not expect that from any food chain..We will never return unless that company gets on there help about cleanliness ..I hope the management of corporate fixes this for future progress.. Never been to A resturant that was so dirty every where you looked,tables, floors. Employees were'nt nice at all. Asked an employee if there was a cheese pizza coming out..he replied with a stupid look on his face a feplied..Ya sometime...Then had an employee walking around like she didnt want to be there with HEADPHONES ON she picked up a few tables gave a small swipe( that didnt even come close to cleaning the table,then walked away without wiping off the seat that got all wet from the dirty dish tub. We always enjoy our visit. All our cousins meet once a month just to visit and catch up with what's happening with them and their families. We get to reserve a room, so it's not too noisy to talk. The only criticism I have is that the corn 🌽 and buttered 🧈 noodles 🍜 are always cold. I love these two foods. The ranch was my favorite place to go until tonight. I watched another guest get up with his plate with chicken on it and return it to the buffet and dumped it back into the service table steam pan, I immediately got up and said to one of the staff that the chicken needs to be throwed out for that was unsanitary, she looked at me like I was crazy and she went and told another staff member that didn't do anything, finally a gentleman came out from the kitchen I explained to him what another guest had done and he took it and threw it away. It was so disgusting not only because of the other guest made that poor decision to return food back to the buffet, but the three staff members that I spoke to, that didn't have a clue to know what to do. Awesome delicious food, but one of the staff/buffet servers is extremely nasty and very rude! She watches you like a hawk when filling your plate and will do damage to the reputation of this location if she keeps up with her bad attitude and poor service. Other staff are nice and friendly. Updated Feb 2020: Still a great place to eat. Everything was perfect. Great Family Food The price is right, the food is great, and there's a nice family atmosphere. We have made four visits in the last month or so. Every time, we have enjoyed ourselves. I really like their chicken! One of the servers even has a T-shirt with the phrase, "we could have called it the 'Chicken Ranch.'" I've thought of the menu having kid's favorites, of pizza, chicken Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, and ice cream. But, I love it too! It's all buffet, so you won't go away hungry. And if you want a special pizza, they will make that too. Come and enjoy!
