Wish I could give our server more than 5 stars. We didn't have reservation. Seated outside. He checked on us several times. It started to rain. Hard. He found us indoor seating immediately. My daughter strict vegan. Wonderful to have several options. My mahi sliders were sooo good. Watermelon margarita and sangria so damn good. We can't wait to return.

The food was impressive & delicious. I had the Gallo Pinto & soda de tortilla. Also got me some tostones. My server Mara was great & very hospitable. She explained the menu with details.

Be selective with what you order. The tacos are pricey but incredible - the sesame salmon tacos in particular are loaded to the gills with fresh ingredients.
We also had a seafood rice dish with a potato salad side - it was a sad $26 for carb-on-carb action. To their credit, the chef came out and talked to us about reworking the dish after we provided feedback.
TL;DR - get items that emphasize fresh ingredients and you can’t go wrong.

I can't say enough good things about Pura Vida. Byron and his staff provide excellent service and serve up top notch food. This is a place where the chef is passionate about his cooking and it shows. Food is healthy, fresh, and delicious. Meal specials are creative and ever changing based on the fresh food available. Drinks are awesome too. My wife and I found this place and ate here 3 of the 4 nights they were open on our trip. Nothing else in the area compared. Pura Vida is welcomed break from all the fried and starchy food in the area.

Absolutely amazing experience! Pura Vida has a consistent menu with additional chefs specials that change everyday, so there is always something new to try! Our party of 3 ordered the coconut muscles, coconut shrimp, sweet and spicy scallops with angel hair pasta and Pan-Seared Salmon Bowl. Everything came out perfectly, all with its own something special but absolutely perfect! I truly have no words to describe the food we experienced. We topped it off with a warm honey cornbread with vanilla ice cream and raspberry puree. On top of the staff being extremely welcoming and helpful to travelers, the food was indescribably great!
12/10 must stop restaurant destination if you come to Isabela, PR!

Me and my family dined here Dec7th. While the trip to Puerto rico was great I would say overall the food was very Meh during our stay. While there I found this place and so glad that we did! This place hosted our best meal during the entirety of our trip. And believe me we went to many restaurants ) expensive ones and those did not even come close. From flavour, to culture to the staff this was our favorite place. I love visiting Costa Rica especially because of their food and this took my right there. Byron (I believe the owner ) who is Originally from Costa Rica completely got this right! 11/10! Thanks for a great experience! Extremely reasonable pricing as well.

Ate there 3 days ago. We had appetizers of shrimp tempura and sweet plantains. I had Mahi Mahi fish tacos with amazing mango salsa. She had the chef's special of shrimp and muscle pasta with vodka sauce. She drank sangria, I had the best ever cucumber margaritas. 5 stars for everything! Without a doubt a great replacement for Ocean Front and unless you want fried, fried and more fried, the best place to eat in Jobos.

Had a selection of taco’s. Highly recommend the shrimp Taco’s, although it is seasonal it did mean they were super fresh !
Great staff, we sat on the deck overlooking the ocean during sunset. Get there early !
