No trip to Clarkston is complete without stopping in at Roosters by the Waterfront! The good is always great. The staff are very friendly. The atmosphere is fantastic! Ordered a cod and chips to-go, i know its hard for pick-up to keep the cod nice "n" crunchy. This order wasnt up to my specs as i dine-in frequently, my wife called to get it handled and they didn't bat an eye. They replaced it and it was fantastic. Love roosters! Again ordering to-go is hard! The atmosphere here is just freaking amazing! The service is hell freaking radical. For the food is mouth watering jaw dropping filling, kudos to the cooks. As for one young lady in training at the Rooster... for brewing up her Witchery by making up a "Corona AMF", I like to give her an A++🥰. Experience was awesome! The waiter had knowledge of celiac and it was very helpful. I had no issues and didn't have a reaction I cannot have gluten or dairy. They have a dedicated gluten-free fryer and a separate gluten-free menu . I had the lumber snack and it was amazing. Also the jalapeno lime Margaritas are to die for. I went out for a date, we chose Rooster's. From the time we walked in to the time we left! Excellent service, excellent food, & excellent seating options. Plus, when we arrived I noticed little lights outside... it was on the deck. They had constructed medium sized igloos with lights all around you. There was a door that you could close tightly for privacy, but wait it gets better! It had its own heater, mini fireplace for ambiance, & wifi, and the ability to play our own music. It was the most romantic date I have had. We came for lunch after church and it was a perfect day to sit out on the patio overlooking the river! I am on a fairly keto diet, so I ordered the classic cheeseburger lettuce-wrapped with American cheese, no pickles, and it was SO good to have a perfectly done burger for once! I also ordered the special summer romaine salad that had fresh peaches and mangos in it with dressing on the side. It was very refreshing and oh so delicious! The food was really good, especially the Mac and cheese, our Kabooms were slightly over cooked but still good. Our waitress was great and the atmosphere was welcoming. My fiery chicken was good. I don't normally order chicken at restaurants but it called out to me. I'm glad it did. I got the highest heat but it wasn't spicy. I verified this when my wife agreed. The side salad was surprisingly good. My wife said her burger was ok, not special. We both enjoyed our frozen strawberry lemonades. A table in the shade on a warm summer day overlooking the Snake river. Perfect! Food was extremely good and ample, left overs were a result and welcomed.
