This place is always had great food. Just had some problems with to go orders with the graveyard getting on the sushi, but they have fixed the problem and definitely took care of me since then very happy with how they took care of me and the food and their service. Hands down the best sushi in McHenry. The fish is very fresh as I can noticeably tell by the clean taste and texture. Tempura and miso soup were spot on as well. This is an authentic Japanese dining experience. I’ve read reviews touting some other sushi places in McHenry as being the best but they are not even close. The fish at those places are suspect in freshness and quantity. Restaurant is clean. The waiter we had didn’t show much personality or warmth at first but he warmed up considerably once we initiated conversation and banter with him. The woman at the front was the owner and she was super nice and encouraged us to return. Will definitely be back as this now my “go to” place for Japanese cuisine. Cannot wait to try the other dishes but the sashimi, miso soup and tempura are always my benchmarks for whether a place can solidly deliver - and this place does food-wise. Be careful when they’re charging you I got charged 3 times and now I have to talk to my bank about this what’s crazy is 2 charges are double the amount of what I ordered. Basically took $120 extra and they didn’t seem too concerned. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

My second time here, once again I liked it. Food is fresh & very delicious. I did order a roll I wouldn’t again, the Catapillar roll. Every time I order a Bento box to go and there’s chicken or steak in the box it has gravy and the gravy spills all over the California roll or spicy tuna And also with the hot food, it cooks your spicy tuna roll while it’s in the box for one hour and 40 minutes that it took them to come to my house to drop off the food whatever sushi you have in there also all over the tempura they refuse to put the sushi in a small box so it doesn’t get full of gravy I told The man that answered the phone tonight about this problem and all they did was argue. Don’t want to take care of the customers and have a solution for gravy soaked sushi. They just want to hang up the phone on me. I pay $62 for two dinners with gravy soaked sushi. I’ve been going to this place a long time every time I order to go they forget half the order forget spicy mayo, And get the gravy all over everything that’s in the Bento box Food: 1 Service: 1

FAVE FAVE FAVE!!! love it. Food and sushi is incredible. Takeout is SO quick. Sometimes when we spend more than 100$ they offer to deliver to our house. Absolutely love the selection of sushi.
