It just gets better. Michael is the heart and soul of this place. Does the bar, waits tables. His attitude and attention to the customer are beyond reproach. The food as always is just amazing. Had the gumbo, best thing I've had since New Orleans . We're Long time customers and will continue to come back. Nice job Sandbar. This is a great location, right on the water, which makes up for the mediocre service. Waitress was inattentive until we chased her down for a drink refill. The pot roast sandwich is excellent. The grilled chicken sandwich was served with no sauce or mayo or anything; just the bun, lettuce and tomato. The seasoning reminded me of a grocery store mixed shake on seasoning. By the time the waitress returned, it wasn’t worth asking for mayo. I don’t recommend it. I loved sitting out by the water but the food and service weren’t great. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5

Sand has a very unique atmosphere and location, one that has been grandfathered into Antioch. I've been to a lot of drinking holes. You'd be hard pressed to find a vibe like Sand bar. The food is quite frankly a little pricy, but done very well. I can honestly say I've never been disappointed by something thats come out of the kitchen. As a regular I might be a little biased towards the service, but that's a huge reason I go to this bar. The bar tenders/managers care, are attentive and fair, and always make sure your order is fulfilled correctly. There's always something going on at Sand, never a dull moment. Whether it's the middle of summer and you arrive by boat, or it's the middle of winter and you park your snowmobile on the beach, a fun and inclusive group of people can always be found inside. I highly reccomend stopping at this bar if you are in Antioch. If you're looking for a cozy dive bar with exceptional service, this is the place for you. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
