We ordered our food and were attempting to pay when the power went out in the restaurant as well as the Buccees nearby. The power outage lasted throughout our meal. The staff didn't miss a beat. They cooked by portable lights and their staff came by our table several times to apologize for the inconvenience. We used the light from one of our phones for a table lamp. It was actually kind of fun, like camping out. The food was excellent as always, despite the outage. We love Sea Island. Good food, great service, and they even work in the dark! Had the mahi mahi and shrimp tacos. They were good The ceviche was ok,it was made with like olive oil. Tortilla chips were awesome Their coleslaw is also very good had their margaritas not bad. The food is always good here. My most recent visit was a weeknight so it wasn't too crowded. Be aware, weekends are very busy here! I had the lemon pepper fish and grilled shrimp. The food at this place is so AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!!! Everyone is very nice. It’s definitely worth the price you pay to eat here. Also the food came out very quickly. What a magnificent place and I'm so happy to have a new location here in New Braunfels. I usually get the fried oyster platter and I can say that I have never been more satisfied out of all the places that I have ordered fried oysters. We are perfectly tasty and perfectly juicy and perfectly fried.... Just like fried oysters should be! It's almost hard to believe how fast the food comes out and it still tastes like it's just come out of the fryer. Everyone in my family loves so many items on the menu. The lobster rolls are very tasty, as well as the catfish and of course the shrimp. The fried seafood is always perfectly salted and I think that means a lot when it comes to getting the perfect taste. A few other cool things are they have beer and margaritas on ice, and they do not annoyingly ask for a tip just for taking your order. They also have waitresses that bring your food to your table and also pick up your plates afterwards. I'm actually very surprised that they don't ask for a tip because they work so and are so helpful. I love the design of this new building how open and spacious it is with clear story windows and a harbor house feel to the interior design. You're going to love this new location! Every single staff member I came into contact with was so nice. Extremely nice! Like I would like to work there lol The appetizer I got was not on the menu it was just flashing on a screen and it was a shrimp cocktail with shrimp and that was DELICIOUS. The crab was okay but I like spicy Cajun seafood. To make it better I dipped the crab in the juice from the shrimp cocktail and that was delicious. I think that should be a dish. Quick order walk up style restaurant. Line moved quickly and menu was clear. Food was brought out quickly. Seafood Platter was excellent. The stuffed shrimp was delicious and great sized. Fried shrimp and white fish were good as well. Ordered ceciche as well that was plentiful and tasty, served with sturdy chips to hold the fish. The catfish was delicious, the okra was sublime, don't even get me started on their fried shrimp🤤 the hush puppies were crispy on the outside and perfectly soft inside, the clam chowder was amazing too. I will come back again and again for sure, it's so hard to find good seafood for a decent price.
