We wanted to take our brother in law out for dinner while he’s visiting. He’s a seafood enthusiast so I searched Google for the most highly rated restaurant with the best reviews in Charlotte and Sea Level NC stood out on the list. When we arrived we, we were quickly seated even though they were very busy. The decor inside is definitely an upscale seafood restaurant vibe and the atmosphere is what you’d expect if dining on the outer banks. There is a decent size bar with a vast selection of whatever it is you’re looking to drink. Our waitress Verenice was very helpful, courteous and professional. She was able to assist with some recommendations and help me navigate the menu since I have a seafood allergy. I ordered the Fried Flounder with Asparagus on the side instead of the seafood rice which has lobster in it. We also had the calamari side. The calamari was cooked very well and was very delicious. The portion size was very good as it fed the three of us. My flounder was simply perfection; it had a nice breading on it and was seasoned extremely well. The asparagus was seasoned well also. Our waitress did a great job of checking in on us periodically and making sure that we were good on everything. Overall, the reviews for Sea Level NC are in line with what you can expect and again the food, service and ambiance brings the experience to the Queen City. Food was good. Liked the restaurant, hoping to come back and try some of the dinner selections. The vegetables were definitely over charred and there was a bit more cartilage in the lobster than I've had before. But the flavor was spot on.
