Awful. I live nearby so really want this to be better, but after 2 years of going back it's only gotten worse somehow? The produce is terrible--literally every time I need to check to make sure I'm not picking up something with mold. I came here 4 days ago and their produce has not been turned around since. They're intermittently out of beyond and impossible and other random products, with no rhyme or reason--hit or miss. You won't get everything on your grocery list each time, guaranteed. Sunday midmorning rush they have 1 cash register open. Worst of all their front manager is a jerk, complaining about her employees and fellow managers in front of customers. Always glaring at people and never saying a word, unless some unpleasant remark. No wonder Market Basket down the road is popping off at all hours. I have wanted to support my local town but I'm done here, and encourage others to be too.

I am a former employee at this Shaws. Worked here March 2017 till the beginning of 2018 before I got transferred to Peabody. Everyone at this store were very friendly, helpful and easy to get along with. I loved my job at this location and I loved my coworkers.

I don’t understand how Shaw’s is open until 10PM, but the entrance doors get locked by the employees at 9:45PM? I’ve worked in grocery retail for well over a decade, the entrance doors should be locked after the store has been announced as closed. I’ll be avoiding this store from now on.

Update: I’ve been shopping here for 16 years. The customer service just gets worse and worse. On my last trip, the person who checked me out made no move to bag my groceries, nor did any of the other employees around. I stood at the end and bagged over $200 in groceries. The clerk finished checking me out and still did not bag anything. A supervisor caught my irritated expression, came over, and started arguing with the clerk about the length of their break while I continued to bag all of my groceries and neither made any move to assist. I’m done shopping here. Old review: The store is fine. Lots of empty shelves these days. I'm not a fan of the new set up. More importantly, on my last two trips I've been forced to give a review to the cashier before I can check out. I'm not sure what use it is to gather 10/10 scores from people who don't want to be rude and just want to check out, but it's certainly going to make me want to use the self checkout even for large shopping trips.

Pros: There are never long lines at the check out. And the Pharmacy is great. Cons: It's because even the sale prices are as much as 200% of other local stores' regular prices. They had a sale today on Luigi's Italian Ice 2/$7 which is down from their regular price of $4.49 but you can get them for $2 a box just up the street to the east. They occasionally have a decent price but to get it you need to do a completely unnecessary scavenger hunt of useless actions like signing up for their app and collecting digital coupons, sorry, but no thanks. Make the price the price otherwise I'll just go somewhere else and almost assuredly save a significant percentage. Plus there's zero connectivity for internet, not counting their free wifi which never works, plus because the town of Stow hired someone's nephew as a civil engineer the traffic patters getting out of there is a nightmare that could be eliminated by one simple traffic light.

Almost every time I buy something from here at least a few of the foods are expired. Once bought soda that was A YEAR expired and that was just one of the expired foods of MANY. Matter of fact I’’m eating their expired bbq sauce as we speak which made me write about this on going issue for like a year. What makes it worse is that they say they’ll check and remove the expired foods, but DONT. Also saw mold on deli meat 🤢 Why should I have to check the expiration date because they’re lazy???
