This is a Kratom Bar. I have no issue with a Kratom Tea bar, if you want to take Kratom, that's entirely your choice. No issue with that, and the business should absolutely be allowed to exist.
Here is where a massive problem comes in: My wife and I did not know what this place was while walking down Main St. We decided to stop in and see what it was. We asked the Bartender (who I'm told was the owner, but I can't confirm or deny that) what the place was and he said "It is an alcohol alternative bar". We asked what exactly that meant, and he said "Just tell me how you want to feel, and I will make you a drink for that". We again said okay, but what is it? He replied "Its tea that makes you feel good!" I said a third time, but what is the tea? and finally someone else at the bar spoke up and said "It's Kratom." Again, I have no issue with this business existing, but not telling someone about a substance they are about to put in their body and implying that it's just "tea" is incredibly messed up, wrong, and potentially dangerous.

If you're chill, come through. If you're not, chill out and then come through.
Really though, this place does more for the community than meets the eye. It's a hub for alternative, artsy, queer, straight allies, board gamers, vinyl enthusiasts, young, old, Boomers-Zoomers...
Come by especially for a welcoming, relaxed, alcohol free, little lounge. Trivia on Wednesdays is packed! Expect dogs.
Grateful of the owner West, and Hopkins in general, for such a welcoming atmosphere🤙

One of my all time favorite places to hang out. I've never been anywhere as chill and welcoming as this. We come multiple times a week to hang out and chat with all kinds of new people. Staff is wonderful and friendly. A truly great place to meet new friends.

Great atmosphere and real community feel. It was super cozy and everyone was welcome. It really feels like a place that folks could be welcome to sit and read quietly, play games or catch-up with friends. A hidden gem close to Minneapolis - well worth a visit!
Such a great atmosphere! The perfect place to hangout if you don’t want to drink alcohol but still feel like being social and having a good time! There’s trivia on Wednesdays, multiple board games to play, and great music! So much fun!! Speakeasy vibes and a great place to celebrate my boyfriends birthday 🥳
If you abstain from alcohol, this place is a great alternative to a bar. It has underground speakeasy vibes.
Cool music. Pick out a vinyl record or request a song on Spotify. They’ll play it for you!
The owner, West, is a friendly guy with positive energy. I’m planning to check out trivia night on Wednesday at 7:00!
