First time going. Dinner with a friend, she had the fish and tots, she wasn't impressed, I had the Shepherds pie, it was good. Beer was good. Staff was friendly. What I took issue with is they added 4% to the ordered items (food and beer), without informing us, then taxed the total 6.5% sales tax. If your going to add some sort of additional tax, you should inform your customers. My mistake for not noticing it until the next morning when I looked closer at the receipt. Lighting was very dim and it was hard to see the receipt in the restaurant. Not sure if we will be returning. Owner responded, but none of what stated happened, the credit charge was never mentioned and we were not told about a "cash discount". We happen to be out doing errands and decided we needed some lunch. Just happened to see the place and thought, looks good. So we went in, and we were not disappointed. We ordered a couple Guinness. If we had looked before we jumped we would have ordered a flight of draft. We then ordered a bowl of the soup. OMG! It was wonderful. Tasty and filling. We ordered the Ruben panini and the roast beef one as well. They did not disappoint either. So much meat and nice flavours. With the Ruben you could get sweet or sour kraut. Best of all, the music! We lucked out and showed up on the 3rd Sunday of the month. A day when people drop by for some Irish music jam session. We will definitely be back again. My husband and I stopped in for drinks and dinner. I had Cocky-a-Leeky soup with a beef and onion pasty while he had the wings. The food was amazing! So tasty with large portions.
