What a hidden gem! Surf 2 Soul has, hands down, some of the best fried chicken and Mac and cheese I've ever had anywhere! Easily the best Mac and Cheese I've had. Ever. Was happy that they accept card as my girlfriend and I visiting from Canada did not have cash on hand. The service was extremely friendly and could not have asked for a better experience dining at this food truck. Highly recommend. Superb! Hearty, strong, flavorful and fried perfectly. Thats no overstatement either. Everything was fried right to the perfect crispy but soft gold. The owner and operator makes everything from scratch even his delicious apple butter, made with fresh apples. Jordan the owner said "that mac has it's own area code out here" and its earned it. The Po Boy, What Came First and Stacked Mac are all options I've personally tried and recomend more than anything in the area. Jordan is also extremely friendly and creates a genuinely welcoming and pleasant atmosphere for his patrons. I honestly didn't know what to get because everything online looked so good. We ended up getting the chicken and waffles, fried pickles, shrimp, chicken and biscuits with gravy, and mac and cheese and I tried it all, and I was not disappointed! The food was absolutely delicious, and the owner was super cool! Awesome customer service! We will definitely be going there again! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

What they said...👇 (other 5 stars) Plus: - 50 extra stars for the chef *not* making salt another food group! - Can't believe virtually no one (else) is raving about the deep fried Pickles. I'm usually disappointed, but these are best ever! Wish we'd found Surf 2 Soul a long time ago. It's now on our list of "musts" for every time we're in Astoria. ;<) Food: 5 Service: 5

Just go get some, you won’t be sorry. This place is awesome, had the stacked mac and came back the next day for the chicken and waffles sandwich. You should probably bring friends because you won’t be able to finish it by yourself.
