The birria tacos were divine. They were juicy, tender, and had just the right amount of cheese. The tortillas were nice and crispy. The sauce was amazing and I loved how they gave the hot sauce on the side so you can decide how spicy you like it. We also got a steak quesadilla and it was delicious. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere is laid back and friendly. The price wasn’t bad considering how good the food was, and we got a first time discount. This was my first time coming here , and honestly it was pretty good , the flavors of the tacos and the salsas on point sooo good!! Only thing i didnt agree on was on the price 5 tacos 15$ is expensive and i teh amount of onions and cilantro was a little but i had cut some more , i get if the sizing was good for the price but its not , just wish was less money for that . This place is ridiculously, authentic. The food is so legit. Tamales, the seasoning in the spice level is just, perfect. Limited on beverages, no alcohol, no tea. Soft drinks, yes, Jarritos Mexican Soft Soda Drinks, yes. Food flavors make up for the simplistic interior decorations. We live in Houston, TX but Went here a couple of weeks ago when we were visiting my family in kenner. I have to say upon first bite it became my favorite tacos of all time. And living in Houston I've eaten my fair share of tacos. These were unbelievable!!! Can't wait till my next visit so I can eat here again. 5 Star!!! Edit: Went here again July 3, 2021 during our last visit to NOLA. Tried the tacos again and they were amazing. Also tried the birria this time and didn't disappoint. My wife and I love it here. One of our must go to places when we're in town. And the family that works there are very nice. Update: Aug 12, 2023. It's been a while since we've been back. Still great food and great service!! Even tried their tamales this time freshly made and it was tasty!! On the Spicy side but I like spicy Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Hole in the wall with about 8 tables. Visiting from out of town. Came here for breakfast. Food we ordered was great. I didn't specify how I wanted my eggs on the chilaquiles. They were cooked over-hard. Next time I'll ask for over-easy. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $20–30

Good food and the waitress was super sweet. Pupusas come as just queso unless you ask. Good variety of Jarritos beverages and salsas. There was plenty of parking and seating at ~noon on a Saturday, and a Guatemalan bakery a few doors down was a nice and convenient after lunch stop.
