The food here is amazing!!!! We went after church on Sunday and the food was to die for. Our server was also great. She was super attentive. Awesome dining experience! If you're looking for Soul Food, this is definitely the place to go. I can't wait to go back. My first time, the food was like cafeteria style, so much to chose from good old southern style cooking. The food looked fresh it had not been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. I ordered fish which was cooked fresh. The place was very clean and the ladies that worked was clean also. I will tell a friend and I will go back. Wow wow wow! I haven’t ate this good in so long , my husband and I left so satisfied. We got the same thing, fried chicken, collard greens/cabbage mix, mac and cheese and an additional side of potato salad and banana pudding. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. The chicken is fried to order which takes roughly 20 minutes and boy was it worth the wait. Chicken was super juicy and extra crispy how I like it. The collards were perfectly tender with a slight sweetness to them which I loved, the mac was exactly how I like my mac and the potato salad was just as good, banana pudding was delicious and not overly sweet. The service was amazing, very attentive staff, making sure we’re comfortable, drinks always filled and just overall a welcoming environment. You can tell everything is made with love. I believe we spoke with the owner and she is a wonderful woman, super sweet and made us feel right at home. I’ve always been brutally honest with my reviews but I seriously can not find a single flaw with this restaurant. The only thing I can say is if you’re dining in make sure you tip good when you’re paying since you pay for your food first and then you sit down. Being our first time we wish we would’ve left a better tip for our waitress but we will be back soon and make up for it! Overall this place is 10/10 and I can’t wait to go back! This right here, THIS RIGHT HERE! Maaaan look, I had been trying get to this place for the past 6 months and due to game conflicts timing never worked. This day I had time and I’m sooo glad we did. It’s a cafeteria style restaurant where the food is right in front of you. We’re got fried chicken, sweet potatoes, Mac and cheese, a greens and cabbage mixture (which I was skeptical about) I was wrong it was delicious and rolls. The bone in chicken took 25 minutes to come out (which is perfectly fine for fresh chicken) it came out hot and steaming. The flavor was spot on and there was nothing left but bones. The sides were also delicious, definitely not expected from a cafeteria style place. If you’re ever near Winston-Salem YOU HAVE TO STOP HERE! Definitely with the visit and wait. A great selection of REAL SOUL FOOD #TasteOfTheTriad is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Our first time there The Owner and staff were like family . Finding we had home in common #Detroit #Motown East & West side... the real Detroit. We talked and toured and enjoyed the fellowship after dinner. Listen if you want so real soulfood, andb you're ever able to get here! Oh boy you're in for a treat ! I need to be a spokes person lol! My family had a fulfilling experience ! Look the pics! Now that Turkey Leg was mine it was a lot . 🤤🤤🔥🥰. I went with 3 of my coworkers. Our food was good - nothing extraordinary. It was set up buffet style. The menu offered basic southern type items. I had a veggie plate - which consisted of 3 veggies - green beans, mixed greens and pinto beans. Also, my coworkers were served meatloaf, baked chicken, mac and cheese, yams, We had no complaints. The location was just okay. They put music on halfway through our meal which helped the atmosphere. The highlight was that the servers were very customer oriented.
