I do not give reviews lightly and I believe this is my first all five star review but they deserve it. My son's 18th birthday we took him to a very expensive restaurant and we're so disappointed by the food and everything else that we wanted to make it up with the cake so we did splurge a little bit and my God it was absolutely worth it. We got the black forest cake it was beautiful and usually when you get a beautiful cake it's almost inedible but we're still eating it and it's been about a week. It was the most moist well done cake we've had from a cake shop ever. We have tried a few places so we were a bit nervous to spend the money we spent but I would gladly give them everything in my pocket for another piece of cake. My husband was absolutely dazzled by the restaurant and said it looked like you could eat off the floor. This tempted me to look at the further menu past the cakes and we will be visiting for lunch in the near future everything looks so good and based on the cake I'm sure it is. My only interaction with them was calling to place the order and then calling to help my husband find it and they were so nice and polite and very helpful! I only give real reviews sometimes brutally honest and this place is wonderful! I recommend them to anybody even if you're just getting one piece of cake or even a piece of pie or just a sandwich. Food was prepared well - spot on seasoning and lots of comfort food vibes. The service was exceptional! Felt right at home. Drinks are cute but just ok. This was really good. I had a cup of soup with half a sandwich and it was the perfect size lunch for me. I had a chicken velvet soup with turkey and Gruyère sandwich. My friends had the broccoli quiche and French onion soup. They both said it was great. The service was really great, and the atmosphere pretty good. Our server was so friendly and answered all of our questions. My only complaint( which is more of a personal preference) is that it had too many Christmas decorations. We visited this place on the first week of January. Definitely, the location and decor of this place is amazing. As it was during holidays, it looked pretty. Not the date when we wanted to go there but we got our reservation only for that day. We were seated by their staff promptly and our server was nice too giving good suggestions and service. We ordered classic burger with pomme frites, truffle pommes frites and tomato soups and an order of warm baguette. The food took some time to come. The presentation of food was great but the temperature of the soup was at best lukewarm. The truffle pommes frite was cold, not even warm. The burger was ok, again not hot or warm. I was surprised at the quality of their food. Food was ok but just not the right temperature. You go to eat dinner on a cold night but all you get is lukewarm to cold food and you pay more hundred dollars for the bill. I felt it was good to visit one time for experience but not again for one reason: for the same price, I can get better quality of food in Indy.
