Good quality bakery goods like donuts and loaves of bread. The kicker here is the breakfast menu. Haystacks and sandwiches are cooked hot and fresh every morning. I suggest the bagel sandwich. It's a bagel with an egg, provolone cheese and steak. Yes, real steak. Delicious. First time coming here! Decided to swing in looking for hot breakfast items and was pleasantly impressed with the menu options! Tried their breakfast pizza and egg muffin sandwich. I have been coming to City bakery for over 25 years. The recent management change has been the best improvement on an already exceptional bakery. Adding "haystacks" and having Sunday breakfasts is so huge to me. As a type 1 diabetic I don't prefer super sugary donuts. Their donuts are the perfect balance!

I am from Nashville TN and had been seeing posts about the city bakery haystacks in some Facebook groups for the area. So glad we went and tried them out for breakfast! So good!

Love these doughnuts. We will have to order them ahead of time though most were out by the time we got there which was a little after 9am I believe.
