Fantastic place on the pier, very nice staff, and fine vegetarian variations of typical bistro dishes with homemade spicy barbecue sauces. Actually much better than the usual coast restaurant. Don't miss!
We ordered 'Fish & Chips' and 'Fish Soup'.
The Fish & Chips is a NO go option ❌❌❌ Small portion of fish is okay (3 tiny pieces) BUT they are all unpleasantly dry and salty! Surprisingly, the french fries are not good as well! Both tasted liked bad brand frozen products which one bought from supermarket.
On the other hand, the 'Fish soup' is good. Creamy and rich with generous chunks of fresh fish.
Overall, it's a nice cozy place but the quality of food can really spoilt one's experience of the restaurant.
We sat outside with our fog when it started to rain. There were no umbrellas, no possibilities to sit inside and we could not cancel our order. When the rain stoped no one offered to while a table and a chair so my girlfriend could sit down which was still waiting with the dog.
The waiters were very friendly, but my problem was that there were very many of them and the service was still pretty bad. We ordered fairly quickly, but it wasn't until at least ten minutes after ordering that we were told that one of our items was out of stock.
We ordered the squid bits and a burger (after being told the chicken wings were out). I was disappointed to see that our neighbors who were seated and ordered after us received their food first, even though they had also ordered a burger. The squid bits were very good although overpriced for what they were, in my opinion. The burger was homogenous in texture (not crispy and rather mushy, almost like the inside of a chicken nugget), although it tasted good.
Despite the overpriced food and sub-average service, the view at the restaurant was fantastic and I would recommend it for a restaurant by the ocean.
Seafood and Southern about sums it up as far as theme goes. Great location and the staff was extremely friendly and efficient. Great service!
Tasty menu which could probably see a few cuts to make the food even better. Some dishes where really good, whereas other pretty average. Fresh seafood, a decent fish n chips and a generous pulled pork was a plus. Fries could be a little crisper and the chicken dish was a let down though.
Prices are what you expect for the area, but some dishes are also pretty good value. No wine list or good selections if you're looking for a quality drink. Did not try the cocktails.
Overall, great service and location a big plus. Food was more than good enough and we spent no time waiting on anything. A big plus is the waiters attentiveness to having enough water on the table. We were served a big jug of water immediately after sitting down. Love it, especially on days like these with temperatures around 30'
Had dinner here with my family. The food was good and the location is very nice. Our waiter was very friendly, but he was not that good at paying attention, so things took some time.
