Service was poor, never got drinks we ordered or food, it wasn't busy when we were there either. Food was average. The chicken Piccatta was not worth 32$. 32$ s all portions, and didn't even come with a salad or soup. Was brought some dinner rolls and that was it. We were Essentially forgotten about. Perhaps because we had two small children with us. Little did they know we are very generous tippers, but did not tip as we did not receive service.
My suggestion is if you are l9oking for exceptional service and an amazing chicken piccatta with a soup or salad, drive to Mesquite and go to the cucina italiana. Not only is it way better tasting, larger portions, but also 10$ cheaper.

We shared a Cesar salad, it was very good with no croutons. We had the filet mignon and the steak frites. Pardon my spelling. Everything was excellent. The service, the food… Excellent. Just go and experience going back in time with the background music that they play there as you have dinner in a very small venue, which made it all the more special.

The food was good and the people were very friendly. The menu was extremely limited for me as the restaurant was essentially a steakhouse, and there were very few offerings for a vegetarian. The waitress recommended the Mac and cheese and the garlic fries. The Mac and cheese was tasty, but I wish she would have warned me about the portion size. This was a side dish designed to be shared by the table. It was huge. The portion of fries was the same. My wife had the salmon again and enjoyed that, as she had before. The hotel, restaurant, and bar areas are just beautifully decorated in antique furnishings. The old vault section of the hotel is set up as a small museum featuring the history of the hotel, and there are pictures of celebrities with old, canceled, personal checks scattered throughout the corridors.

Alex (bartender) was the best ever… we chose to eat at the bar for the service (!) but ordered from the Jack Dempsey menu…. Quick and delicious! Chicken Piccata was perfect! Also had a steak with creamed spinach… fabulous!!! Date night is coming but maybe leave with a full tank of gas… well worth it!
We are from Vegas and are NOW willing to do date night here! There is no place in Vegas comparable and this is not a joke. This chef has blown us out of the water!! The flavors are amazing and crisp. I'm not sure who's in the kitchen but PLEASE DO WHAT EVER YOU MUST TO KEEP THEM! Thank you for flavors we have not tasted in so very long. We will be back every chance we get 🥰

I'm a longstanding, loyal patron of the excellent Mizpah Hotel, including its two restaurants—the regular one (Pittman Cafe) and the fancy one (The Jack Dempsey Room). My experience with Pittman Cafe has been great, over many years of patronage. My experience tonight in the Jack Dempsey Room was not great. The food was bad; the service was bad. I could go on but this sums it up: After "finishing" my meal—an indifferent wedge salad and a borderline-medical-emergency-sodium-overload of crispy things alleged to be squid—after finishing that, I waited at least 10 minutes for someone to notice I was done. Somebody did approach my table, with a smile and a plate. The plate had a small bread roll and a pat of butter. You know, like you would usually get before you get the entree. He was like "Tah-dah!"—but just . . . late. I hope Mizpah management will take my comments in the spirit intended, I'm a huge fan overall.
