I visit The Jolly Roger in the spring/fall . No gimmicks, just a good time and good food. I recently had the clam chowder, and the fish tacos. The chowder was great and had lots of clams. The fish tacos were really good. It was better than expected and it was a big meal. My server was great, and the owner and manager even came around to chat. You can tell they love their restaurant and their guests. I Highly recommend! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This place DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I ordered the stuffed mushrooms…ate every single one before I could even take a picture…DELICIOUS! The dozen wings actually came with 14(8 garlic, and 6 buffalo) and are AMAZING!!! Huge wings, HUGE flavor, and definitely will not disappoint! YOU MUST VISIT THIS PLACE! Well, I mean if you like fun places, top notch food and service. We were lucky enough to get MAX as our server. I hope you get that lucky. We go a lot of places and it' so nice to find such a charming and likable guy. I had the Chef' Special on a Monday: Strip Steak, Grilled Mahi Steak, mashed potatoes( I don't know what the Chef did, but man oh man) and a squash veggie medley. All of that was only 29 bucks. If you go on a Saturday or Sunday , hopefully you'll see MAX bartending. Music Bingo on Tuesday and Karaoke after that. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Overall this is a nice restaurant. It's large, but where you sit is in small rooms, or at least where we were put. It definitely has a beach bum atmosphere. It was a little weird how we got our food, there were 10 of us and a few of us got our food about 10 minutes apart. The flounder was really good! Overall everyone enjoyed their food too. The Jolly Rodgers breakfast was underwhelming to say the least. We came here after seeing the great reviews and though our waitress jennifer was great our food was not. The sausage gravy and grits were cold. The poached eggs in the Benedict were over cooked, and the food in general just didn't have much flavor. The mimosa was delicious however the coffee was so weak I could see my spoon to the bottom of the cup, it just tasted like water. Not impressed. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Am giving this establishment a 4 star because the restaurant was beautiful and eclectic, which I love, we were seated promptly without a wait and our waitress couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating! The food was average in my opinion, the she crab soup was a bit watered down for my particular taste, and while the scallops were very plump and juicy, the breading peeled off each and every one when you tried to eat them, (which made it more like eating steamed or boiled scallops) the fish of the day (Flounder) was incredible! The breading to meat ratio was perfect and the fish was cooked well, not greasy and very crispy on the outside. The hushpuppies also seemed over cooked (again in my opinion) but the service, atmosphere and that fish were enough to warrant another visit in the future, so we'd try them again when we're in the area. And yes... I DID address my only issues with the staff, not just now, up here, on social media. Everyone has "off" days, so we'll give them another chance 😊 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Wait was minimal. For a family of 7, we were seated very quickly. Where we were seated there was an air conditioner, which was blowing out hot air. I told the host and her fixed it, by turning it off…. Ok problem solved… I guess..Wife and mother in law ordered steak medium well. They said their steak wasn’t seasoned at all, and my wife never received her mixed veggies. I ordered the seafood platter, which was good. The only issue I had with my platter was my hush puppies were burnt. My son ordered a medium rare, cheese burger. The burger was well done with no cheese. He was forgiving for the burger not having cheese and that it was well done. He said it was well Seasoned so he really didn’t have a complaint. We told our waiter a couple of times that we needed more silverware. Usually we are forgiving in some situations but this was not one of those. My wife asked for the manager. Who we got was not who were expecting. The manager came over with a very pleasant smile, greeted us and introduced herself. She asked what she could do for us, we told her our complaints and she immediately told us she would correct it immediately. It was my mother in law’s birthday, and she gave us brownies and ice cream for our table and her a personal birthday brownie. Her and her staff also sand happy birthday to her. The manager corrected everything to the point where we sat there for another 45 mins talking. Even though the experience started off horribly, she turned the experience all the way around. Usually I wouldn’t recommend an establishment after an experience like that, but the staff is friendly, the leadership is solid, and I would give them another chance when we return. I will say my seafood platter was 9/10. Unfortunately I do have to give 2 stars for the food, but I will give them an opportunity to redeem themselves. The potential for this resturant is great.

This place is awesome! Such a unique and fun exterior and interior (decorations, little shop in the front, seating areas..). Food is delicious as well. Little on the pricier side but most places at the beach are, and the vibes are totally worth it. If you are looking for somewhere with great food and a super fun atmosphere, then this is for you!
