Great place to go for happy hour, especially on the weekends. They have great rotating drinks menu with food during this time, such as $10 burgers. It gets lively and they can accommodate a large group (we had 9 people and were seated very easily on a Wednesday evening). Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Love this place. One of my favorite bar and restaurant designs. Great spot for a quick lunch or hang out. I recommend trying their avocado tempura lettuce wraps and Brussels sprouts. 1st time at The State, and I gotta say, I was pleased and impressed with the quality of drinks here. Although my mimosa, I felt I was short changed a bit. The glass was a bit empty about half of the glass was filled. However it was good, next time I'll just request a bit more champagne. The Chilaquiles were very good as well. Patio bar counter top seating facing the street was perfect. Service was good as well. I also had a Moscow mule which was awesome, wish they would have e put in the copper cup though. I've visited this location multiple times, and unfortunately, each visit has been a different experience, and not for the better. The food lacks consistency, and the drinks are never made the same way twice. It's surprising that a whiskey bar struggles to make a good Old Fashioned; perhaps using a single block of ice instead of filling the glass could improve the drink. Overall, there's a lack of consistency in the service, food, and the drinks. I hope they can improve before we give up on the ambiance entirely. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
