I spent an afternoon solo and an evening accompanied by my wife at Thirsty's after flying into Rochester from Milwaukee. By the night's end, I hugged the owner and his wife, met the bartender's dad, and felt like I lived in Pittsford my whole life. Thirsty's has an aura that's impossible to replicate. This building has been home to a tavern for exactly 200 years, since 1824: “Prior to it becoming Thirsty’s in 1971, names/dates included; 1820’s being Warner’s Tavern, 1920’s being Windy’s Town Tavern, 1930’s being Scoop & Hazel and the 1960’s Tallo’s Town Tavern.”
Bartender turned music off at 10 pm when they close at 12. They clearly were trying to push people out early. Terrible atmosphere after. Service sucked.

We were passing through on the bike trail and stopped by for a beer. Friendly folks. We were able to eat our lunch from Hungry’s (which is next door) at the bar.

From Buffalo. Our son is in camp so we had a mini vacation nearby. Thirsty’s has a great beer beer list. We’re IPA people. The outdoor patio is awesome. The staff is supper friendly. The owner, aka chip & pickle guy, is a great guy. Thanks.
