Went to Tlaquepaque today for my sons Birthday because it was his favorite place to eat. About halfway through our meal a ROACH ran across the table. The only thing I had in my hand was my fork, so I killed it. I flagged down our waitress (who I believe was the owner's wife) pointed to the fork and said I just killed a cockroach with my fork. Her response was, "Do you need a new fork." I said no, we are leaving. I was shocked/disgusted she would even ask that. She asked us if we wanted a box, I said no, I'm not taking any of this and she handed me the bill. I did pay it because I wasn't making a scene about it. Typical food - but not special. Very long wait for food and it came out at different times. Two people got cold food. One person's meal was completely forgotten. Every step of the process was slow. Unfortunately the food wasn't worth that delay. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Had lunch on the patio today. We really enjoyed the food. Chips and salsa to start. Very good. I had the #1 Lunch - Chili relleno, beef taco, refried beans and guacamole salad. What this restaurant does well is large portion sizes, good service and provide a very unique eclectically designed interior. However, the food itself comes up short for me.
