In a lifetime of frequent flirtations with the most exquisite cuisine, this stood out... quite possibly one of the best. It was nothing shy of Michelin level gastronomy, set upon a backdrop ringing of relaxed joy and integrity. It felt family run- a collection of gastronomic veterans exhausted with the quips and sentences of glitterati forgetful of the respect this Olympic level endeavour requires. I speak of quality humans engaging of the art of conversation, a bartendress who, upon first glance could be underestimated, until the prolific fruit of her experience pours richly upon the food art, as it's most appropriate pairing. There are few restos that achieve this in the entire world. I lack the vocabulary to express the necessity of experiencing this profound establishment. We had a fantastic evening at Torc and it definitely lived up to our expectations. Highly recommend the Hamachi, the lobster pasta, the scallops as well as the beef fillet. Everything was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed it all. David’s service and recommendations were top notch with an extensive wine list where you can’t go wrong.
