Trattoria del Lago di Manuela Buetti is a great place to enjoy traditional Swiss Ticino cuisine with a beautiful view of the lake. The Hugo and spritz drinks were especially delicious. The spaghetti bolognese was unfortunately a bit bland, but the pomodoro and parmesan were good. The insalata caprese was made with rubbery mozzarella and tasteless tomatoes, but the balsamic vinegar was nice. The potato salad was fresh and homemade and the meat was juicy and tasty. The service was friendly and fast with humor. The beer selection is good, offering local beers in addition to the standard Feldschlösschen. The home-made cake was a disappointment and not worth the 8 CHF. The ambiance is simple and family friendly with a view over Lake Maggiore. The quality-price ratio is excellent. All dishes were very good and the prices are reasonable. The owner Manuela Buetti and her staff of mostly friendly and polite women are welcoming and accommodating. Music is often played live by Kiko Gregori's band or Edith's choir. It is the perfect place for a romantic dinner with folk music or a family meal with traditional tastes. Highly recommended!
